Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our construction team or subcontract on consistent jobs. The ideal candidate will have experience in tile laying and related construction skills, with the ability to work efficiently on various projects.

This role involves installing ceramic tiles in residential and commercial settings, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of construction practices and be capable of interpreting blueprints and schematics.

Duties

  • Measure and prepare surfaces for tile installation, including floor and wall applications
  • Cut, shape, and lay ceramic tiles using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
  • Ensure proper adhesion by applying mortar or other bonding agents according to specifications
  • Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, and perform caulking for finished surfaces
  • Perform surface preparation tasks such as concrete finishing, plastering, or masonry work as needed
  • Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols on-site
  • Assist with remodeling, restoration, or other related construction tasks as required

Requirements

  • Proven experience in tile laying, flooring installation, or related construction fields
  • Knowledge of blueprints, schematics, and construction management principles is preferred
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication techniques
  • Ability to measure accurately for precise installation
  • Experience with masonry, concrete forming, plastering, carpentry (including trim carpentry), roofing, drywall installation, and other construction trades is a plus
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various construction environments
  • Valid license or relevant certifications are advantageous but not mandatory
  • Must be able to be paid electronically
