Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various landscaping tasks, including lawn care, landscape maintenance, and horticulture.

This role requires a hands-on approach to maintaining outdoor spaces, ensuring that they are aesthetically pleasing and well-kept. The Landscape Technician will work with a variety of tools and equipment, including power tools, hand tools, and excavators. In many cases, they will bring in help or experts to work with them on a project for a given property.

Duties

  • Perform routine lawn care tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging to maintain healthy grass and plant life
  • Execute landscape maintenance duties including planting, weeding, and mulching to enhance the appearance of gardens and outdoor areas
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain landscaping equipment effectively
  • Conduct tree care activities such as tree trimming and removal as needed to ensure safety and aesthetics
  • Install and maintain irrigation systems to support plant health throughout the seasons
  • Assist with hardscape projects including patios, walkways, and retaining walls using construction techniques or oversee the company we hire to do the work
  • Collaborate with team members to complete landscaping projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in landscaping or related fields is preferred
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools and hand tools safely
  • Familiarity with lawn care practices, landscape maintenance techniques, and horticulture principles
  • Experience in tree care, gardening, and hardscape installation is a plus
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
  • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction
  • Must have valid driver's license and their own reliable transportation
  • Must be able to be paid electronically

Note: RDG will provide all landscaping equipment and supplies.
