Position Overview

RDG is seeking a licensed and experienced Electrician or Electrical Contracting Company to provide comprehensive electrical services for our growing portfolio of residential and commercial properties throughout Belize.

This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic development company on diverse projects ranging from new construction to renovations and ongoing property maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in both residential and commercial properties
  • Perform electrical work on new construction, renovations, and retrofit projects
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently and safely
  • Install and wire lighting systems, outlets, circuit breakers, and electrical panels
  • Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) as interpreted and enforced by the Public Utilities Commission (PUC)
  • Adhere to Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) standards and Belize Building Code requirements
  • Work with Belize's 110/220V electrical systems
  • Coordinate with property managers, contractors, and RDG team members
  • Provide accurate cost estimates and timelines for electrical projects
  • Maintain safe working conditions and follow all safety protocols

Required Qualifications

  • Valid electrical license issued in Belize
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial and residential electrical work
  • Proven expertise working with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
  • Strong knowledge of Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) requirements and Belize Building Code
  • Experience with 110V and 220V electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation and tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional references from previous clients or employers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hotel, resort, or multi-unit residential properties
  • Availability for emergency calls when needed
  • Business insurance and bonding (for contractors/companies)
